As part of a dynamic and dedicated team, as the Physical Exercise Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a very highly motivated and professional clientele who are eager to return to duty and improve their condition. Daily, you will lead reconditioning programs for Canadian Armed Forces members who may be affected with a medical condition and improve their functional abilities related to their physical limitations.
Being a subject matter expert in your field, you will support your local team with training and professional development. You will assist Health Promotion partners promoting healthy practices and injury prevention through initiative such as educational programs, special events and other activities related to physical fitness.
Working with us, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver programs and services in collaboration with a highly professional team of health services practitioners. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Human Kinetics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences or in a related field
Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP_CEP). A candidate possessing an equivalent CSEP-CEP certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) may be considered.
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Current National Lifeguard Service Certificate (NLS) qualification, as required
In preparing and conducting physical fitness training sessions
In communications for professional and public audiences
In the delivery of adult education and facilitation of workshops
In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS English Essential

OTHER INFORMATION As part of the selection process, candidates will undergo a physical fitness test (FORCE Evaluation) and must achieve a minimum level of Bronze.
