Part Time High School Physics Teacher/Tutor

High School Physics Teacher/Tutor Wanted Oxford Learning Oakville North is growing, and we’re looking for enthusiastic High School Physics Teacher-Tutors to join our award-winning team. This role is perfect for someone who lights up when talking about physics, enjoys working with students, and finds satisfaction in helping students build confidence while mastering challenging scientific concepts.
If you love exploring how the world works — from forces and motion to energy, waves, and electricity — and enjoy helping students understand the “why” behind the formulas , this role could be a great fit for you.
This is a fantastic opportunity for future educators, physics enthusiasts, university students in science or engineering, or anyone considering a career in teaching to gain meaningful experience working directly with students. You’ll be mentoring students, inspiring confidence, and helping them discover that physics can actually make sense (and even be fun!).
All lessons are fully prepared through our proprietary Oxford Learning methodology, so you can focus on what matters most: teaching, connecting with students, and making an impact.

All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm) .
Continuing through the summer and into the coming school year is even better. This is not an online position . Relocation packages are not available.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (Physics, Engineering, Science, etc.)
Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Teaching certification is an asset
Strong knowledge of the Grades 9–12 physics curriculum , including topics such as:
Confidence in Math up to Grade 11 or 12 is a bonus!
Experience teaching or tutoring Grade 9–12 physics (or equivalent)
Strong English written and oral communication skills
Strong physics and problem-solving skills
Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly
Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Teaching in-person
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
