The Lifeguard at Simeon Park, part of Magna International Inc., is responsible for instructing and supervising recreational swimming activities to ensure the safety of all patrons. Lifeguards also act as park attendants, supporting the maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities and providing guest services for summer events and recreation programs. Pool & Lifeguard Duties
Supervise recreational swimming activities to ensure patron safety and compliance with Simeon Park’s pool rules.
Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life curriculum (i.e. training, skills testing, lesson planning, providing feedback, awards processing, etc.).
Clean and maintain the pool facility.
Clean and maintain indoor facilities (e.g., Conduct groundskeeping (trail maintenance, sports facility maintenance, garbage collection, etc.).
Clean, move, and assemble outdoor equipment (e.g., tents, barbecues, picnic tables, sports field equipment).

Must be available to work weekends and holidays during the summer until Labour Day.
High school diploma.
National Lifeguard Certification.
Soccer referee certification (training will be provided if needed).
The Lifeguard role involves working primarily outdoors and requires comfort working in various weather conditions. Students must be prepared for a physically active environment that includes walking, lifting, and completing maintenance tasks throughout the park grounds.
This position offers an hourly wage of $21.00.
