What You'll Do This is a player-coach role where the ideal candidate will lead a team of associates while actively engaging in day-to-day operations. They will oversee client onboarding and servicing, support advisors with their daily tasks, handle escalations and client concerns directly, and ensure a smooth experience for clients. Lead and mentor a team of registered Investment Representatives, conducting performance evaluations and supporting their development.
Enhance processes for performance and compliance management to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee risk management practices and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements across all trading functions.
Continuously assess team capabilities and implement strategies to support business growth and improve overall service levels
Coach and mentors staff members and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and client service delivery

• Client and Advisor Support
• Prepare and maintain client documentation, including account applications and financial statements, and ensure all forms comply with industry regulatory requirements.

Liaise with the custodian on day to day operational matters - Account opening, Transfer initiation and monitoring.
Manage and coordinate the onboarding process for a new advisor, sometimes with several hundred new clients at the same time.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including KYC (Know Your Client), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and suitability assessments.
Execute investment recommendations by processing trades, ensuring they comply with client instructions and align with overall investment strategies.
Ensure accuracy of client information in Salesforce CRM and Portfolio Management System
Ability to guide clients in an investment suitability assessment
Maintain a client-first approach, striving to deliver proactive and personalized client service to ensure long-term relationship sustainability.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory frameworks and industry best practices, completing all necessary compliance training.
~ Collaborate with wealth advisor to support business development initiatives and enhance the client experience.
Assist in marketing initiatives and help develop the wealth business through various client engagement efforts.
Process Improvement and Client Satisfaction

Develop and manage process and procedures manuals for key processes
Collaborate and develop mutually beneficial working relationship with partners across the organization to ensure the optimal implementation and support of projects and initiatives.
Liaise with internal risk, internal audit, legal and compliance to implement strong internal controls and mitigate risks
Manage internal and external audit requests and collaborate with internal resources to deliver successful results.
University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance/related fields or equivalent work experience
5-7 years of relevant wealth management experience
Must have Canadian Securities Course (CSC) & Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) along with Wealth Management Essentials (WME)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is an asset.
Experience with the following is an asset: Leadership: Ability to lead by example, motivate, and develop a team, while also actively contributing to tasks alongside team members.
Mentorship & Coaching: Strong industry, product, and wealth management procedures knowledge
Bilingual (English and French) would be an asset
