Role: Production Planning Manager

Reports to: Director of Production Planning.

Located at: Works remotely, with requirements to be onsite at co-manufacturing partners on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

Develop and implement required business metrics to support the monitoring of 3rd party facilities for conformance against established product specifications and adherence to regulatory and business requirements.

Monitor yields and invoicing from designated 3rd party facilities to ensure production processes remain within target control ranges and overall costs remain in line with target expectations.

Complete assigned monthly business reporting within required timelines.

Provide analysis and recommendations regarding new opportunities and/or issues.

Support Senior Management in the development and execution of operational strategies.

Lead project workstreams and initiatives focused on driving the key priorities of the business.

Secondary responsibilities include:

Taking orders either directly from retail customers or from our sales reps via phone, e-mail and EDI

Accessing external portals to obtain electronically submitted customer orders (EDI Portal & Customer Portals)

Entering domestic and export orders into the order system, double-checking for accuracy, compiling orders and sending them to the plant for fulfillment

Ensuring submitted orders adhere to minimum order requirements and notifying the appropriate sales reps of any deviations

Meeting daily order deadlines

Daily batching and organizing release requests of product from our storage / 3rd party partners

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Demand planning experience is desired, but not mandatory.

Moderate Excel and Word skills.
