We are working with a specialized engineering and manufacturing company delivering structural steel solutions across Canada.
You will act as Engineer of Record, lead the engineering function, and partner directly with executive leadership to shape technical direction, team performance, and project delivery.
This is ownership of the engineering function.
️ Technical leadership (P.You will lead design standards, review and seal work, mentor engineers, and ensure engineering output aligns with commercial and operational goals.
Engineering Leadership & Professional Practice
Act as Engineer of Record across structural steel projects
Review and seal drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
Establish and improve engineering processes, standards, and workflows
Provide final technical direction on complex or non-standard designs
Drive performance, accountability, and professional growth
Support hiring, succession planning, and team structure
Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality and collaboration
Project & Business Integration
Partner with Sales on feasibility, estimating, and value engineering
Support project delivery from concept through execution
Provide technical support to clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Evaluate new materials, systems, and structural approaches
Contribute to long-term engineering and business strategy
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.8+ years in structural, bridges or civil engineering
~ Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
~ TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Project-based engineering environment
Full ownership of engineering function
Influence over both technical and business decisions
Stable, specialized company with national reach
Engineering Managers in steel / infrastructure / fabrication
