Reporting to the marketing manager, the Marketing Coordinator assists in the planning and organization of events, creation of marketing materials, management of social media, and ensures all marketing and community activities reflect Gardenland Co‑op’s mission and values. This broad role will include managing sponsorships, donation requests and other administrative tasks.
The Marketing Coordinator acts as a brand ambassador and helps make sure the marketing and member relations initiatives run smoothly and consistently across the organization.

Success in this role requires: an outgoing, community‑focused approach; strong people and relationship-building skills; Working alongside the Marketing Manager, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Brand & Community:
Support community relations strategies that strengthen the brand while contributing positively to local communities where Gardenland Co ‑ op operates.

Marketing & Communications:
Develop and produce marketing materials and social media content; ensure brand consistency and quality control.
Assist with promotions, print and signage orders, and marketing communications; keep current on trends and best practices, conduct local market research.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager, Federated Co ‑ operatives Limited (FCL), and other local Co ‑ ops to align programs and strategies across the CRS.
Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records for all marketing initiatives.

Community & Company Events:
Coordinate Gardenland Co ‑ op’s participation in community events and member relations activities, including sponsorships, donations, and cooperative involvement.
Serve as a point person when leading teams of volunteers at local events, ensuring clear communication and smooth event execution.

Advanced administrative skills; proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
Creative, efficient, and consistently meets deadlines.
Post‑secondary education in Marketing or Communications, along with a minimum of two years of relevant marketing experience, is preferred. Class 5 driver’s license.
Ability to work on ‑ site (no remote work available) and travel between Co ‑ op locations and community venues as needed.
Full ‑ time availability (40 hours/week) with flexibility for some evenings and weekends to support events.
