Reporting to the Production Supervisors at Transcontinental Flexstar, the Bag Packer will ensure all products are manufactured, packed and ready for shipping at the highest company quality standards. The worker will also maintain and work in a safe and clean work environment.
What you will do

• Monitoring the end of the bag machine at a conveyor surface.
• Packing bundles of manufactured bags into boxes.
• Checking measurements and performing quality checks of bundles.
• Assisting the Bag Machine Operators and Helpers with performing leak tests.
• Building packing boxes and large disposal boxes.
• Assisting Operators and Helpers with changing trimming spools.
• Palletizing boxes and coordinating materials required for the workday and next shift.
• Ensuring pallets are appropriately finished and ready for shipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinates with the operators and material handlers to ensure all materials are available.
• Maintains machine speeds to produce high quality product with the least amount of waste.
• Follows all safety rules, policies, and procedures.

What you have to offer

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
• Able to lift 50-60 lbs. regularly.
• Team player.
• Able to work 8-hour rotating shifts. Days, afternoons & nights.
