0.286 FTE K-8 Music Teacher at Silver Creek Elementary School

This assignment is Elementary Music K-6 and Band 7/8. Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent;

Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch;

successful experience in Elementary Music and Band instruction;

working knowledge of the renewed curriculum for the Fine Arts;

ability to teach ukulele, recorder, guitar, orff, dance and choir;

demonstrated ability to work collegially as part of a school staff;

comfortable planning and executing school-wide concerts and events;

ability to relate effectively to all elementary school students;

ability to promote support for a school’s Music program;

successful recent experience working with students with special needs;

current knowledge of and interest in applications of computer technology in the Music classroom.
