Dental Assistant Instructor

The School of Health and Public Safety at SAIT prepares students for a dynamic career in the health care sector. We offer specialized training in diagnostic and therapeutic technologies professional assistant programs information management and training for wellness professionals. Our programs are hands on with students and instructors immersed in living classrooms and simulated training.

As an Instructor in the Dental Assisting Program you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of oral healthcare professionals. Your expertise mentorship and commitment will directly impact student success helping learners build clinical competence confidence and readiness for rewarding careers in dental health.

Your contributions will help students reach their full potential and graduate as industry-ready professionals.

Therefore instructional duties may occasionally be required during early mornings evenings and weekends. Mentor and coach students fostering professionalism confidence and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Participate in SAIT training school and program meetings.

Promote and support SAITs mission strategic and academic plans.

Perform other duties as required always with a focus on supporting student success.

Registered Dental Assistant with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants or Registered Dental Hygienist with the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists.

Minimum three years of progressive diverse hands-on clinical experience in a private or public health dental clinic.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel).

Comfortable speaking to the public and inspiring student engagement.

Previous teaching experience and/or additional educational qualifications.
