Programme Management Director - Engineering

Ciena’s Optical Modem NPI and LCM Engineering team is seeking a Coherent Plug NPI Program Manager to help bring industry‑leading optical products into volume production. This role contributes to successful new product introductions by coordinating development, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp activities across multiple stakeholders. Success in this position supports efficient product launches, operational execution, and manufacturing scalability.
Lead projects involving cross-functional Research and Development and Operations Engineering teams.
Define project deliverables and schedules with clear milestones in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Review project plans, communicate changes and risks, and establish contingency plans where needed.
Manage prototype builds within Ciena laboratories and contract manufacturing environments.
Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Optical Engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Optical Engineering.
Experience: 3+ years of project management experience.
Application of optical and electrical test engineering principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
The annual pay range for this position is $109,000 - $174,000 CAD
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
