The City of Lacombe is currently recruiting for a temporary Administrative Assistant to join our Planning and Development Services team. Reporting to and under the general direction of the Manager of Planning and Development Services, this position performs a wide variety of clerical and support functions for the department of Planning and Development Services. This position is the primary customer contact and information source for planning inquiries, development and building permits. Proficient computer skills - advanced working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Access and Excel; using ArcGIS is an asset
- Exceptional organization, quality control and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating an ability to deal with a variety of clientele, in person, in writing and on the phone
- Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, positivity, tact and discretion in dealing with requests, complaints and clarification of information
- Ability to complete assignments as required with minimal supervision
- Office Administration Certification; 2 years of equivalent experience in a planning, legal, local or provincial government office and/or knowledge of planning and development
- Salary and Benefits: $30.00 - $37.50 hourly (dependent upon experience).
