Early Childhood Educator Teacher

As a RECE, you will be responsible for guiding, teaching, and ensuring the safety of children between infant to school age at centres located in Durham region. Your responsibilities include maintaining a high-quality environment, assessing, observing, and caring for the individual needs of every child, and maintaining professional communication with parents and co-workers.

We offer on-the-job training and professional development opportunities.

Three months of a public transit or gas card if you work ten shifts+ per month.

Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons.

Fulfill the lead teacher’s program and daily activities; Promote the physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being of children.

Provide supervision and prioritize the safety of children; understand and comply with CCEYA, public health and Sentient HR policies.

Facilitate and participate with children in planned activities.

Maintain and complete comprehensive documentation of children’s development and interactions.

Foster positive relationships and develop rapport through effective communication with peers.

ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario college

In Good Standing with the College of ECEs.
