Remote IT Support Technician

We are looking to add a motivated and skilled IT Support Analyst to join our team of dedicated IT professionals to provide support to our internal team both on site and remote. The IT Support Analyst will communicate with our team to determine the nature of their problems, diagnose hardware or software issues, and provide productive assistance. The IT Support Analyst may also be required to install new software applications and upgrade existing hardware and software solutions.
The successful candidate will have good knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good interpersonal skills.
IT Support Analyst Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support for various systems and applications on-site or remotely.
- Responding to staff IT support requests and tracking issues in the ticketing system.
- Communicating with Staff to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
- Rectifying hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
- Installing and configuring Staff computer systems.
- Responsible for providing first level technical support for all system and application issues.
- Monitoring proactively of helpdesk line and support inbox.
- Responsible for basic troubleshooting of network issues.
- Assists a project lead/manager on various system projects.
- Travel to different Barriston offices as required.
- Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support on a rotating basis.
IT Support Analyst Requirements:
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and supporting a wide variety of Staff and server-based applications.
- Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server environments.
- Proficient in the administration of Microsoft Office 365.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshooting remote access issues.
- Essential knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, subnets, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of web services, APIs, and IP-based protocols.
- Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio will be helpful.
- Legal software application experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technology-related projects and engagements.
- Ability to function effectively supporting a fast-paced, business-critical IT environment.
~ IT Support Analyst Education and Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Technical Support Analyst or in a system administrator role.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- MCSA certification is an asset.
