Contract Specialist - Administration and Support Services

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for a leading engineering consulting firm. This opportunity is offered as a 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent , making it an excellent fit for professionals looking to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects while building a long-term career.
Working closely with Project Managers, contractors, and construction teams, you’ll support contract administration throughout the construction phase by coordinating project documentation, communications, and contract records to help ensure successful project delivery. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced construction environment.
Administer construction contract documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and project correspondence.
Coordinate communication between contractors, clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
Review contractor submissions for completeness and track outstanding items to support project schedules.
Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, contract files, and site records.
Participate in site meetings and construction site reviews while documenting observations and follow-up actions.
Support Project Managers with construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project documentation and maintain organized contract records.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support successful project delivery.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent construction administration/inspection experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction contract administration, preferably supporting transportation or municipal infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with the ability to travel to project sites.
Experience with document management software.
Previous experience as a Contract Administrator, Field Engineer, Construction Coordinator, Superintendent, or Senior Inspector.
Knowledge of transportation infrastructure construction projects and contract administration best practices.
