PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - TEMPORARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production results. This role provides frontline leadership to production employees by establishing clear expectations, coaching and mentoring team members, managing performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize productivity, reduce costs, maintain quality standards, and support a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Accomplishing manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, coaching, counselling, and when necessary, disciplining employees.

Selecting, onboarding, training and mentoring employees.

Completing production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

Managing the accuracy of timesheets.

Collaborating with various groups to identify cost reduction initiatives that will maintain or improve quality, reliability and manufacturing cycle time.

Working with the Safety group to create, evaluate and promote the managing of the hazards of the operations via Job Hazards Assessments.

Reviewing and controlling the resources for the correct and timely execution of work orders and consequently finish goods.

Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

Post secondary education in business administration or related field.

Proven working knowledge of Lean concepts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong working knowledge of MS suite, particularly with Excel.

Electrical, welding, refrigeration or sheet metal experience.
