We are looking for a tutor to work in Thompson, MB - Monday to Friday 8AM - 12PM.
Amant supports over 5,000 people in Manitoba with developmental disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury. We are a not-for-profit organization that offers a wide range of supports for adults, children and their families. We are seeking fun, energetic, enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to learn, discover and explore! As a tutor, you will be an integral part of a team, working one-on-one with children and families, teaching meaningful skills in all life areas based on individualized goals. This opportunity, taking place in a community setting: childcare centre, family home or a St.Amant classroom location, encourages creativity and play, inspiring both yourself and the child you are supporting to find joy in learning.

Minimum education of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Assets:
Post-secondary course work in behaviour modification/applied behaviour analysis (ABA)
Previous experience as a tutor in a supervised applied behaviour analysis (ABA) program
Previous experience working with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities or ASD
Knowledge of the philosophies and practices in education, care and support services for individuals with disabilities
Excellent, ongoing training in creative teaching strategies and behavioural principles
A significant career path in the field of ABA specializing in ASD

As a condition of employment, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Prior Contact Check.
This includes the requirement to confirm immunization or immunity of specific communicable diseases.
