HR Generalist – Recruitment Focus Position Summary

The HR Generalist, Recruitment plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and retaining talent to support operational excellence across the organization. This position leads full-cycle recruitment while providing comprehensive HR generalist support aligned with company values, policies, and culture. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner and Director HR in a collegial environment where we build trust and help shape tomorrow. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities – Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (70%)

Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and various salaried roles.

Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.

Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reporting and insights.

Develop proactive recruitment strategies in collaboration with various stakeholders beyond job postings.

Represent the company at recruitment events and career fairs.

Support the Director of HR, HR Business Partner, and leadership across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities – HR Generalist Support (30%)

Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, and employment equity principles.

Advise leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Contribute to HR initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.

Configure and maintain the ATS for all assigned roles.

HR-Specific Competencies

Talent Acquisition: Applies structured recruitment strategies aligned with operational and business needs.

HR Service Delivery: Provides consistent, professional, and timely HR support.

Employee Relations: HR Compliance & Risk Management – Ensures adherence to legislation, company policies, and Company Values.

HR Data: Maintains accurate data to support reporting and informed decision-making.

Relationship Building: Establishes credibility, Trust and productive working relationships.

Customer Focus: Delivers solutions-oriented HR support with an internal service mindset.

Continuous Improvement: Seeks opportunities to enhance recruitment and HR practices.

Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience with a strong focus on recruitment.
• CPHR designation or progress toward designation is an asset.
