Senior Backend Engineer - Java (W/M)

Our client is building the next generation of live social commerce , a real-time shopping platform that enables direct interaction between buyers and sellers through live streaming experiences. As an Backend Software Engineer , you will design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that support real-time interactions, transactions, and 24/7 availability. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable backend designs

Own a large functional area with deep technical expertise

Influence technical decisions across domain and partner teams

Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Apply evidence-centered design to ensure testability, quality, and continuous delivery

Provide code reviews, architectural guidance, mentoring, and coaching

Contribute to and review Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)

Identify cross-system gaps, propose solutions, and help shape the engineering roadmap

Strong experience with Java

Experience building scalable, high-availability backend services

Java, Spring Boot, Backend Architecture, Microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
