Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440

Job : The Kidney Health Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining standards of care through staff education by: assessing learning needs, acting as a clinical resource, promotion of client education concepts, planning, implementation and evaluation of unit orientation, in-service and other educational programming, participating in quality improvement activities and committee work as appropriate, liaising and collaborating with Provincial colleagues as necessary, assisting with interdepartmental and facility interfaces to promote effective delivery of client care to support Kidney Health patients.

Three years of full-time clinical Nephrology experience in the past five years

• Minimum 3 years recent experience in a clinical nurse educator role
• Experience in policy development and health care quality improvement preferred
• Demonstrated competence in project leadership, program planning, and evaluation
• Experience with Adult education to staff/clients/patients/residents

Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Master level preferred

Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

• CNA certificate in clinical practice area is an asset
• Master of Nursing, Adult or Continuing Education is an asset
