Project Manager and under the guidance of a senior staff, is responsible for carrying out assignments for specific projects or programs; conducting activities related to environmental water/wastewater or waste management programs or environmental assessment processes; processing water and wastewater system data to produce reports for internal and external users; collecting and analyzing operational/condition data to produce reports, review and track project progress); assisting in various projects and budget activities; and providing support in the research, design, analysis and planning activities of the Branch.

Assists in ensuring that projects or procedures are carried out according to procedures, plans, specifications, and contract standards.

Provides input and technical support for projects under the direction of Management and/or Senior staff.

Monitors project activities and ensure that assigned project and task timetables are kept up to date.

Prepares and submits regular project status reports.

Research and analyses data to determine requirements and provides supporting data for reports, as required.

Provides input on business process changes and impact of implementation.

Successful completion of a three-year Community College Diploma Program in Civil Engineering Technology or Environmental Studies or approved equivalent.

Up to one year experience working in a Water and Wastewater environment

Valid Ontario Class “G” driver's license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.

Knowledge of theory, principles and practices of public consultation process, program development, planning, design and construction and Water and Wastewater and/or Solid Waste Infrastructure.

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in water and wastewater treatment process, conveyance and collection system design, technical data collection, design development, project reporting and progress tracking.)
