Job Responsibility:
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming multi axis CNC (DMG Beta etc.) machine tools, at the Nisku Manufacturing facility . Train users, provide technical assistance, and monitor performance of the programming after implementation and be support for ordering tooling and design. Edit and create parametric programs for Siemens Controls. Modeling support and design of tooling.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop Cam and Parametric programs for Siemens CNC Multi axis machine tools.
Technical lead/support for all aspects of 14 multi axis machines, and tooling
Use & created CAD Models (Solidworks).
Ensure communication to CNC machines is running properly.
Manage drawings & models for CNC programs.
Troubleshoot CNC operator issues that arise.
Assist Supervisors, Quality Assurance & operators with troubleshooting.
Set up new machines and train operators.
Attend meetings on NCR's, variances etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications

• Trade certification ticket preferred.
• Post Secondary education or equivalent experience in related field of programming or Engineering
• 3 - 5 years' experience using and programming multi axis machines (primarily siemens controls)
• Prove out code before it reaches the machine (Veri-cut, Sinutrain ) is considered an asset.
• Cad/Cam Ug /Feature Cam / Master Cam
• Helical or Spiral programming, Programming of Touch Probes/ CMM and Parametric Programming
• Machine communications
• Excel & Word Knowledge
• Experience with alloy steel, stainless, exotics
• Understanding of Geometric dimensioning (GD&T)

HSE

~ Able to work in shop environment (noise, fumes, standing) and lifting unassisted 35 lb.

This position is classified as safety sensitive and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment testing.
