Maintenance water quality operator

Halifax Water is inviting applicants for one (1) Regular Pumping Station Maintenance Person (Pumping Station Service Person Apprentice in the Wastewater and Stormwater Services Department.

As a Pumping Station Service Person Apprentice you will:

Perform scheduled and emergency repair and maintenance of sewage pumping stations and related infrastructure. You will be subject to emergency call ins after working hours.

Completion of a minimum one-year technical diploma (ie: Industrial Mechanical Power Engineering Marine Engineering Auto Mechanical)

• A valid Class 5 Nova Scotia Drivers license
• Two years of experience working in a similar environment working with pumps/motors/controls and with similar equipment and tools.
• You will be required to obtain certification through Nova Scotia Environment within 6 months of hire as an Operator-in-Training. Halifax Water
