IT Helpdesk / IT Technician / IT Support / Desktop Support / Customer Support

Reporting to the IT Manager the IT Specialist acts as the first point of contact for any IT-related issues will support the IT team by monitoring and responding to internal requests troubleshooting technical issues for existing systems and setting up equipment across our role will be a key contributor for the successful implementation and adoption of new technology initiatives within the YMCA Simcoe this role you will: Demonstrate strong support and commitment to the mission and core values of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and the YMCA in CanadaDemonstrate strong support and commitment to serving the membership facility users and all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/MuskokaAdherence to all provincial and federal legislation relevant to job IT support tickets. Responding to tickets or escalating to the System Administrator or to the IT Manager if required. Desktop and helpdesk support efforts making sure all desktop applications workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited and desktop user computer equipment support and troubleshooting fault diagnosis and user software and operating system troubleshooting fault diagnosis and room equipment management and -user account troubleshooting and optimization for technical problems related to product applications installation and and implement technical solutions under general knowledge and experience in the planning solution development and implementation of distributed computing services or client-server services and/or wireless and configure computers and peripherals to be distributed across internal and client fixes to ensure problems have been adequately ongoing maintenance of systems and infrastructure while supporting system quality service tickets and troubleshooting progress for all client requests and ensure effective trouble ticket incoming help requests from end users while documenting user issues and related resolutions as and assist where necessary with software updates drivers and patch in building knowledge bases and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem with support of cellular devices as installed hardware and software systems within the AssociationAssist with keeping necessary licensing and inventory the integrity of data storage and backup the internet connection and firewall and monitoring security removing or updating user information such as logins and Exceptional customer service and support to Internal instruction on proper use of hardware and software strong judgment in making decisions and taking appropriate actions related to security and the privacy of removing or updating user information such as logins and IT Systems Admin & Support duties as bring:Post-Secondary education in IT &/or completion of an IT Administrator Certificate program3 years experience in the IT-related field with hands-on experience as IT Helpdesk SupportExperience with IT ticketing software/service desk systemProven ability to communicate effectively with end usersDemonstrated Proficiency with VoIP systems Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10 and above) Microsoft 365 Exchange Microsoft 365 Azure Active DirectoryAbility to understand or write scripts in PowerShellEndpoint reporting and security supportFamiliar with compliance and industry security standardsValid Class G drivers license and insured with own vehicleClear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector ScreeningMust be able to work flexible hours based on client needs including evenings and weekends as requiredWillingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:As an IT Specialist you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our members and the community as a whole.
