The ST-Engineer Process-Packaging assists with improvements to production safety quality capacity reliability cost per 1000 dosages customer service and regulatory compliance in the Packaging department. As a member of a team the ST-Engineer Process-Packaging works with others in Solid Dose in an attempt to reduce or eliminate non-value added activities or costs while maintaining or improving quality productivity and timeliness of the projects being managed.
Work closely with Packaging Technicians and the Packaging Technical team to understand and analyze packaging processes and equipment in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety Quality and Productivity.
Manage resources to complete projects on schedule and create contingency plans to ensure minimal production impact.
Liaise regularly with Packaging Operations Engineering and Quality Assurance and SHE group to coordinate project activities.
Following Change Control requirement coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQs) for new and existing equipment as required.
Seek out issues and recommend solutions for improvements in production processes reliability and compliance to Packaging Operations Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Generate maintenance and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) SOPs and in accordance with established Safety Standards.
Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program Global Quality policies and procedures Safety and Environment policies and HR policies.
University of Toronto Toronto Metropolitan University University of Waterloo McMaster University Queens University (Engineering Sciences or related technical field).

Customer service skills.
Strong organizational time management and project management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Preferred experience level in 2nd 3rd or 4th year in Engineering Sciences or related technical field.
Experience in coordinating project activities is considered an asset.
