Your new company Our client, a well‑established real estate investment and management company located in downtown Montréal, is seeking a Corporate Controller to strengthen its corporate accounting function. With a diverse portfolio and operations that span acquisition, development, and ongoing asset management, the company offers a dynamic environment with significant growth and collaboration. The office is centrally located and highly accessible by metro.
As the Corporate Controller, you will oversee the corporate accounting department and lead a team of four professionals. You will be responsible for the company’s accounting operations, budgeting, internal controls, year‑end financial statements (including consolidated statements), and tax compliance.
You will collaborate closely with operations, including the investments group and operational accounting teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient processes. Additional responsibilities include monthly financial analysis, oversight of treasury functions, cash‑flow management, review of GST/QST filings, and coordination of IT activities with the external provider. CPA designation (required)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate
Strong technical expertise in accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial reporting
Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and handling corporate tax matters
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
Fully bilingual in French and English
