Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Calgary, AB | Full-Time, On-Site | Salary: $80k-$120k+ (based on experience)

We’re working with a well-established building engineering consultancy in Calgary that is actively seeking a Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This firm is known for its collaborative culture, award-winning project portfolio, and focus on high-performance building systems across a range of sectors including commercial, institutional, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.

This is a fully on-site role , ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with their team, contributing to technically complex projects, and mentoring junior designers.

Lead the electrical design for new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects across a variety of sectors

Develop detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD and Revit

Perform lighting calculations, power distribution layouts, and low-voltage system design

Ensure designs are code-compliant and aligned with project requirements and timelines

Attend client meetings and site visits; act as a key technical contact throughout the project lifecycle

3-8+ years of electrical design experience in the building consulting industry

• Eng. or EIT designation in Alberta
• Proficient in AutoCAD , Revit , and lighting/power calculation tools
• Strong understanding of OESC, CEC, Alberta and National Building Code , and related electrical standards
• Previous experience with LEED projects, smart building systems, or sustainability-focused design is an asset
