Now Hiring: Registered Nurses (Casual) (Evenings and night shifts)
Casa Mia offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor. Casa Mia provides our residents with a heritage estate setting and modern best practice care.
Casa Mia works in partnership with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
As a Registered Nurse, you will take a leadership role in resident care , ensuring quality clinical outcomes while fostering a supportive and safe environment. Coordinating resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
Completing resident assessments and individualized care plans
Administering medications, treatments, and wound care
Communicating with physicians, families , and interdisciplinary care teams
Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers (HCAs)
Assuming Charge Nurse duties , including overseeing care delivery and ensuring team collaboration
Participating in Care Conferences and Medication Reviews
Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with BCCNM
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Strong English communication skills , both written and verbal
Previous long-term care experience (preferred)
COVID-19 vaccination certificate
