Purchasing & Stock Agent

The Purchasing Agent will work to maintain vendor relationship, as well as assist with inventory control to reduce and eliminate any obsolete materials.

• Sourcing VMI related items for existing and new VMI customers
• Creating and posting transfers for VMI warehouses
• Some project management responsibilities will be required

The ideal candidate would be very detail oriented, customer service focused, must be flexible in finding solutions to problems while still keeping processes within the company guidelines

Assist with inventory control to include inventory review to reduce and eliminate any obsolete materials

Analyze data to optimize inventory turns and maintain sufficient inventory to meet customer demands

High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred

• 3+ years experience in purchasing or relevant business experience is required; preferably in a distribution environment
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• AS400 experience is highly preferred
