Working as a key member of the Client Communications team you will rewrite and maintain technical client documentationincluding contracts statements illustration outputs and other policy wordingto ensure it is accessible accurate and easy for clients to understand. You combine strong communication skills with deep critical thinking allowing you to translate intricate concepts into relatable language while maintaining absolute precision. Reporting to the Manager Client Communications you will contribute to a seamless client experience by delivering content that supports informed decisionmaking and reflects our commitment to putting clients at the heart of everything we one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Translatethe mostcomplex technical information into clear concise and user-friendly content;Develop and maintain documentation including contracts statements forms procedures user guides FAQs training materialsand more;Manage the writing projects that you are assigned;Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity consistency and qualityusingbrand styletoneand voice guidelines;Work closely with the client communications team to align content with company standards and client needsas needed and provide direction on supporting content such as video scriptswebsite contentand more;Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writingforIndividualInsurance;Align to all content governance systems workflows and standards;Coordinate copy translation approvaldocumentationand final delivery of content;Develop the client communications practice building innovative and effective guidelines bestpracticesand tools;Work with out IT partners on producing mapping and maintaining variable dynamic and static content on contracts statements and other content;Work collaboratively with field teams operationsteamsand CAX researchers to shape andvalidateyour work;Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure our communications are appropriately and responsibly launched;Experience with multimedia content creation would be an youll bring:Bachelors degree in English CommunicationsTechnical Writingorarelatedfield;Proven experience as a Technical Writer preferably in the insurance or financial services industry;Strong ability to simplify complex information and present it in plain language;Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills;Familiarity withlife and critical illness insurance productsandterminology as well as regulatory requirementsas it pertains to the insurance industry;Proficiencyin using documentation toolsand software such as Adobe AcrobatandMicrosoft 360 apps and services such as SharePoint;Certification in technical writing or related areas;Experience with content management systems (CMS).Career Growth:Regular learning sessions and development opportunities;Allowance provided in place of vacation pay and benefits;If you need accommodations or alternative formats at any stage just reach out to us at Were happy to base pay will be based on your skills qualifications experience and education.
