*The Ministry of Education, Amethyst Demonstration School and Robarts School for the Deaf requires experienced aquatic individuals to participate in the growth and development of students who are Deaf, hard of hearing and/or have severe learning disabilities, through an aquatics program. Plan, organize and implement instructional, recreational and training programs designed to meet the needs of students and lifeguarding staff;

• Organize competitive and recreational swimming programs and special community events;
• Implement school policies and to ensure the maintenance of aquatics equipment. National Lifeguard Lifesaving Society, Lifeguard Certification
• Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf/hard of hearing and/or have severe learning disabilities;
• Knowledge of the Ontario Public Pools regulations and relevant legislation and Provincial and Demonstration Schools policies and procedures, guidelines and practices;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English and American Sign Language (ASL) (or willingness to obtain) to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and other professionals;
