For more information, please visit our website: carmichael-eng.ca About the Opportunity Carmichael Engineering Ltd is looking for full-time HVAC Technicians, Journeyperson / 3rd- or 4th-year Apprentice to support its commercial service operations across multiple locations, including Brockville, ON, and, Moncton, NB. You will play a pivotal role in delivering reliable commercial HVAC and refrigeration services across preventative maintenance, planned repairs, and emergency service calls, while supporting long-term customer relationships. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for servicing a portfolio of commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring systems are maintained, repaired, and operated safely, efficiently, and in line with Carmichael’s structured service standards. Installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Completing preventative maintenance and routine inspections across assigned buildings
Carrying out scheduled repairs and component replacements identified through maintenance programs
Responding to service calls, including participation in an on-call rotation as required
Developing familiarity with assigned sites, systems, and customer requirements
Recording labour, materials, and service details accurately using mobile work order tools
To qualify, you will need a Journeyperson certification in HVAC/Refrigeration , or be a qualified 3rd- or 4th-year apprentice , with relevant hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned service area
Availability to participate in an on-call rotation as required
Experience servicing commercial and industrial HVAC systems
Experience servicing gas-fired commercial HVAC systems and related equipment
Experience performing preventative maintenance and scheduled repair work
Comfort working independently in the field with structured scheduling support
Familiarity with mobile or digital work order and time-tracking systems
Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain professional relationships
Experience working in unionized environments (asset)

In return for your skills and experience, you will receive a unionized hourly wage, typically ranging from $55.00 to $70.00 per hour* , depending on location, certification, and collective agreement. The united strength and support of union membership
