As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) joining our Village you will:
Maintain current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy quality and meeting our residents quality of life requests.
Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and able to identify and report any changes in the residents well-being to the Charge Nurse or Village leadership team.
Have an understanding of relevant policies procedures legislation and regulations applicable to the Long-Term Care sector including the Fixing Long-Term. Care Act 2021 and the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA) of Ontario.
Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents.
Work as a key member of our Village and Neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents individual needs and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care support new resident move-ins facilitate transfers to hospital or any changes in resident medical needs.
Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Physician during weekly rounds and update care plans and directions accordingly.
Have proficient communication and computer skills in order to update care plans in the current system.
Understand the physical mental and emotional demands of the RPN role.

Comfortable supporting residents and their families during end-of-life care.
