Production - Machine Operator (Afternoon shift)

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up the Combi laminator, running production of the laminator, cleaning and all related maintenance of the machine.
THIS IS AN EVENING SHIFT (4.00pm - 2.00am) - FULL TIME POSITION ONLY (NOT PART-TIME)
Manages pre-run testing of the material to ensure the correct coding weights and bond strength are applied
Job Order interpretation - uses & runs the proper amount of material/footage to the job order for production
Perform all required quality checks prior to production
Load and unload material from the laminators/trucks as needed, using defined equipment
Install/remove laminator sleeves as required for each production order.
Correctly build up production orders and doctor blade assemblies
Report Quality Issues & Food Safety Violations to Production Manager for analysis and remedy
Enter data into Microsoft Dynamics Floor Shop Module
Follow the production schedule & prepare for production at the end of each day for the following day
Willingness to be trained on alternate production machines such as slitting, pouch, and printing
Mechanical & mathematical skills: Ability to read rulers, micrometer & gauges, equipment testing
- Computer literacy - complete production related documentation on both computer & paper forms
- Good judgment, troubleshooting & decision making skills in regards to Safety and Quality
