The molecular imaging team is comprised of medical radiation technologists radiopharmacists radiologists cardiologists and physicians who all work together to provide the best patient care. UHN is one of three sites in southern Ontario to perform PET Rubidium myocardical scans

Performs nuclear medicine procedure and quality assurance for PET as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals to aid in patient diagnosis intervention and or treatment

Operates troubleshoots and ensures safe functioning of medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner

Prepare written and electronic reports required to properly document all procedures and test results

Attend PET-MR & Research meetings as required

Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grand applications and data processing

Responsible for teaching training educational research safety and quality improvement programs/activities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to review manipulate and archive digital medical images of data in final image formation

Understand and follow Hospital and departmental Research policies and procedures to improve technical quality

Certification in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized academic institution

Completion of the clinical component of an accredited medical imaging academic program or equivalent education as assessed by CAMRT and CMRITO

Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine

Competence in operating PET diagnostic equipment an asset

Proficiency in computer skills

Excellent attendance and availability for evenings and occasional weekends
