HSE Safety Advisor

As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will be the cornerstone of our safety operations, bridging the gap between high-volume manufacturing and complex field installations. This is not a "desk job"—it is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will spend significant time on the shop floor and at active infrastructure project sites. You will act as a strategic partner to the President & CEO, ensuring that our commitment to innovation is matched by our commitment to the well-being of our team.
You will be tasked with embedding safety into the daily DNA of our production, logistics, and installation teams. By providing credible, practical guidance, you will influence decision-making at all levels, ensuring that every employee—from the newest hire to the senior site lead—understands their role in maintaining a zero-harm environment. Whether you are conducting a root-cause analysis on a "good catch" in the fabrication shop or verifying fall protection protocols on a bridge installation site, your expertise will directly protect our people and our reputation.

Competitive Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year.

Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits of manufacturing facilities and active field-based customer job sites.
Risk Mitigation: Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), verify PPE compliance, and oversee high-risk programs like machine guarding and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Training & Coaching: Deliver toolbox talks and orientations; coach supervisors on safety leadership and due diligence.
Serve as the lead resource for the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
Maintain health and safety documentation and support the move toward ISO 45001 standards.
Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years in a safety role within manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ontario OHSA, WSIB, and MOL requirements.
Certifications: JHSC Certification and First Aid/CPR (or the ability to obtain them immediately).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites (mileage reimbursed).
