Assistant(e) service support ventes - H/F

The Sales Associate provides service to customers sorts incoming product and assists in the ongoing retail operations of The Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Interact with customers/donors in a positive friendly and courteous manner.
Responsible for accurate completion of all customer transactions including cash and debit sales.
Contribute to meeting store budgets by maintaining customer service standards
Process raw materials by loading/unloading sorting packing pricing and storing donations.
Possess knowledge of stock in order to respond to customer enquiries by phone/in person.
assist in stock rotation.
Assist with store layout plans to attract customers which include window displays and merchandise displays; Removal of inventory from sales floor as directed.
Maintain the proper sorting and processing of all donated goods ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Abide by store policy and procedures.
Inform your supervisor of all customer complaints comments and concerns regarding customer service prices merchandise etc.

Contribute to the safety of staff and customers (e.g. snow removal clear fire exits cleans spillage).

MANAGERIAL/Technical Leadership RESPONSIBILITY :

~ FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT:

Responsible for handling cash and debit sales.
Contribute to store budgets by maintaining customer service standards.
Assist with the materials management of donations/product flow in the thrift store.

The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Armys Mission Statement in a professional manner exemplifying Christian standards of conduct.

Knowledge and experience using a cash register debit machine and/or credit card processing is a definite asset.

Participate in mandatory orientation training.
Participate in regular supervision and performance appraisal process.
Must comply with all Salvation Army policies and procedures and associated legislation.
Brand awareness would be an asset.
Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Armys health and safety policies and procedures.
The screening is secured either through the national Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or through a local police detachment
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
