Westcor Construction is a widely recognized premier General Contractor and Construction Manager servicing Calgary and the surrounding area in southern Alberta. Westcor Construction is a privately held company, committed to continuous growth and expansion in the southern Alberta market. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. This individual will be monitoring and reporting project progress on a weekly and monthly basis. The project Manager is responsible for completing the risk analysis and managing that risk and any/all ongoing issues. The project Manager should have a good understanding in Cost and Time Estimating.
Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in project management, with a background in commercial industry. They are a creative thinker who looks for process improvements and efficiencies, they embrace challenge and can influence without authority.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO AS A PROJECT MANAGER

Review, monitor and update project schedules;
Manage and maintain all building documentation (drwg.'Acquire, compile and manage all pricing for changes to the scope of the project;
Attend, schedule and chair project related meetings (Owner & Sub-Trade);
Monitor and manage project budgets and cash flow forecasting;
Monitor and manage long term delivery items, including Owner supplied equipment;
Manage monthly client invoicing;
We Support our local organizations and encourage all of our staff to participate/volunteer with these various organizations and events, examples would be;
CCA C* algary C* onstruction A ssociation; where we participate in events such as the SAIT Industry Night, where we engage in discussions with SAIT students and answer any questions they may have;
5+ years project management experience, ideally in commercial industry;

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once;
• Experience managing budgets and meeting deadlines;
• Creative thinking, the ability and interest to look for process improvements and efficiencies;
• An ability to outline and manage expectations for staff and clients;
• Demonstrated leadership qualities;
• Gold Seal Intern or Certified
