Job Responsibility:
Job Summary NBL Contracting is a locally owned and operated small business seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious Accounting Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will possess an accounting designation and a minimum 2+ years of recent experience, will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and various administration duties. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and talented professional looking for a rewarding career, flexible schedule, with unlimited potential for growth and success.
This position is part-time with the likely potential of full-time in the future.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting tasks: accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, WCB and GST/PST filings.
Manage and organize company files and records, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Run a small bi-weekly payroll.
Perform administrative tasks: financial and non-financial reports, record keeping, contracts, applications, create job postings, research, minutes, follow-up actions and more.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and employees.
Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns.
Establishing and maintaining positive client relationships.
Corresponding with taxation authorities.
Help create and implement company policies and procedures.
Work directly with management as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Highly organized self-starter able to initiate and manage new processes.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a growing environment.
Quick thinker with initiative for unstructured tasks.
Able to work well independently.
Strong proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online).
Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adhere to deadlines and diarize them
