Full-Time Sommelier H/F

Quails’ Gate Winery is seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to support all areas of the Wine Shop, with a primary focus on our elevated tasting program and guest wine education. Working closely with the Senior Sommelier and Wine Shop Manager, the Sommelier plays a key role in delivering refined, engaging, and memorable wine experiences that reflect the quality and heritage of our estate.

This role is ideal for a wine professional who leads with expertise, inspires others through mentorship, and consistently elevates service standards and wine knowledge across the team.

Wage: Based on experience and education
What You’ll Do
Lead elevated, educational wine tastings and curated guest experiences
Deliver hospitality aligned with Quails’ Gate service standards
Maintain expert knowledge of estate wines, vineyards, and production
Identify upselling opportunities and cultivate high-value guest relationships
Support wine sales through storytelling and guest education
Assist with staff wine training and mentorship
Support special events and premium experiences
Perform POS duties, cash handling, and purchase wrapping
Act as Keyholder, including opening and closing the Wine Shop
Collaborate with Estate and Wine Club teams to enhance guest and member experiences
What We’re Looking For
WSET Level 3 or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality or guest service within the wine industry
Serving It Right certification
Passion for guest education and premium service
Proven sales and upselling ability
Confident communicator and team mentor
Professional, polished presence
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events
