Line and Grill Cook at Brunch Restaurant Location Calgary, AB T2P 2T8 : Overview At Holy Grill "We Serve Good Food Fast!".We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive delicious, well-prepared meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, following established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill area and kitchen equipment.
Assist in meal preparation and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
A Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items
Sets up stations according to Holy Grill guidelines.
Must follow clean as you go requirements.
Must possess good knife skills.
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Holy Grill.
Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed related to restaurant and kitchen upkeep
Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures.
Work at efficient and consistent pace.
Ensure timely preparation of all meals.
Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needs.
Utilize kitchen equipment during food preparation.
Stay productive at all times and prepare for future needs as time allows.
Demonstrate flexibility and volunteer
Serve food in the proper portion size and at the proper temperature.
Lead by example, with and eagerness learn.
Responsible to execute daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, particularly in food preparation or cooking roles.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for the food industry and commitment to providing excellent service.

Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required.
Demonstrate knowledge of food quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required.
