Estimator Construction

Our client is seeking a seasoned construction professional to join their team as a Senior Estimator. This individual will be a cornerstone of the Estimating and Project departments, providing comprehensive cost analysis and coordination across diverse project types and delivery models. The successful candidate will navigate various contract structures—including design-build, lump sum, and integrated project delivery (IPD)—to ensure financial accuracy from conceptual stages through to final tender.
Strategic Impact: Play a lead role in project development, operations, and the overall bidding strategy.
Innovative Environment: Work with advanced estimating software and lean construction principles.
Manage a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Comprehensive Estimating: Execute full-cycle estimating services, including detailed quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and conceptual cost modeling.

Bid Management: Oversee the solicitation, review, and leveling of subcontractor and material supply quotes.
Interface with engineers, architects, and owners to adjust estimates and recommend alternative materials or methods.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and develop strategic plans to manage impacts on budget and schedule.
Cultivate and maintain strong networks with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive market positioning.
Technical Education: Minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience as an estimator within the general construction sector.
Extensive experience coaching teams and supervising group work efforts is essential.
Software Proficiency: Skilled in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and OST; expert-level knowledge of InEight (or similar estimating software) is a distinct asset.
Prior experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator is considered highly beneficial.
The Senior Estimator is a critical link between the design phase and project execution, ensuring that every project is built on a foundation of financial accuracy and strategic planning. This office-based role requires a professional who can handle high-pressure deadlines while maintaining professional communication across all levels of a project team.
