New Path Youth and Family Services is an accredited children’s mental health agency providing a range of compassionate, innovative and accessible services for children, youth and their families throughout Simcoe County. New Path respectfully acknowledges we are situated on the traditional land of the Anishnaabeg people which include the Odawa, Ojibwe, and Pottawatomi Nations collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy.

The Care and Treatment Worker support's youth and their families who are experiencing significant social, emotional and behavioural barriers and challenges in an intensive 24-hour therapeutic setting.

Employee and Family Assistance Program - provides short term counselling, wellness resources, perks and free virtual fitness programs.
Over 10+ committees where staff, youth and families can join and partner to co-develop projects, processes and services that impact or interest them, which directly contributes to our culture of inclusion and engagement.

Post-secondary education, Child and Youth Worker (CYW) or equivalent.
# Minimum two years' experience supporting youth with complex needs in a therapeutic environment.

Youth and family focused; provides client and family centered approach to care.

• Meaningfully engages youth and families and collaborates to facilitate positive change.
• Takes personal responsibility for enhancing individual and team performance by promoting cooperation and commitment.
• Demonstrates awareness for the backgrounds, values, beliefs and traditions of staff, clients, families and communities we serve.
• Continuously assesses and challenges assumptions, personal unconscious bias and commits to understanding diverse perspectives, experiences and their intersectionality.
• Commits to ongoing training to build the knowledge, awareness and skills, that contribute to creating a culturally safe environment for staff, clients and families.
• Competency and effective use of database and Microsoft Office systems.
• Confident, articulate and professional when communicating verbally and in writing.
• French language is an asset.

The promotion of self-care and staff well-being is part of our everyday culture. Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
# Willingness to travel using agency vehicle. Must be able to effectively deliver crisis intervention using a Ministry approved training program including physical techniques. Training will be provided .
