Personal Support Care Worker

Seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Housekeeper and Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide personalized care and support to adult clients with mobility needs in their home. The individual will assist the client with their routine, including personal care tasks such as transferring, dressing, grooming, and showering, as well as performing housekeeping and meal preparation duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the clients’ quality of life while maintaining a clean and organized home environment.

Assist clients with safe transfers from bed to wheelchair or other mobility aids, ensuring comfort and safety. Support clients with dressing and undressing, selecting appropriate clothing as needed. Provide grooming assistance, including hair care, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene tasks. Assist with showering, ensuring a safe and dignified bathing experience, including setup and cleanup.

Housekeeping and Home Maintenance:

Perform housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning bathroom, and kitchen to maintain a hygienic and tidy living space. Wash dishes and maintain a clean kitchen environment.

Additional Support:

Provide flexible assistance with any other tasks requested by the clients to support their daily needs, such as organizing personal items. Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring clients, following proper techniques. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and care. The PSW must adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper use of mobility aids and infection control measures.
