Ultrasound Technologist (full Time)

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is now seeking such a person for the role of Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) at the new, state-of-the-art Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, which opened in 2021. As a Diagnostic Sonographer I, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex ultrasound services for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, obtaining ultrasound images of diagnostic quality, and takes initial action to resolve abnormal findings. Your work may include assisting Radiologists and Cardiologists, Perinatologists and other medical staff with special procedures where required.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
