Manager, Finance Planning & Analysis

MISSION The Manager of Finance will be responsible for developing and monitoring the total organizational budget, overseeing the preparation of financial reports, providing leadership to the staff team, and encouraging professional growth and development. This role plays a crucial part in assisting the Director of Finance with controlling the overall finances of the department and establishing accounting controls to ensure the security of physical assets. The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a compassionate and hands-on individual to fulfill the role of the Manager of Finance. PRIORITIES Accounting:

Directs and prepares timely, accurate and useful operating/management and financial data, including exception reporting and variance analysis for all operations of the organization.

Oversees the preparation of/or prepares, operating and management financial reports, such as exceptional reporting and variance analysis.

Develops and implements accounting policies and internal controls.

Manages cash flow, banking, audits, funder reporting, and capital expenditures.

Contributes to strategic and operational planning for the department.

Assesses financial needs and supports service innovation aligned with agency goals.

Helps establish departmental policies and monitors service performance.

Fosters a positive, inclusive, and equity-driven workplace culture.

Supervision:

Leads hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision of team members.

Conducts regular performance reviews and supports staff development.

Participates in supervision, committees, and community engagement.

Adheres to agency policies and legal/health & safety requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field.

Strong strategic and financial management skills with the ability to lead within a multi-disciplinary health/social service setting.

Network and plan at an inter-agency level effectively.

Can effectively cope with change, finding ways to advance work and projects.

Ability to take the initiative, problem-solve effectively and achieve high levels of customer service is essential for this position.
