Helios Group is looking for a Finance Director to join the team in Montreal.

Lead the financial strategy and planning for a growing portfolio of international software businesses, analyzing performance and identifying risks and opportunities.
Oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including building and managing financial forecasts and tracking KPIs.
Supervise all accounting and finance personnel, providing mentorship to build a high-performing team across multiple businesses.
Monitor and analyze the financial health of the portfolio, ensuring positive cash flow and developing strategies to improve return on investment and profitability.
Ensure effective financial internal controls and compliance with tax regulations, leading statutory audits and ensuring timely filings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and investment partners to execute business strategies while maintaining rigorous financial discipline.
Lead the integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring smooth onboarding and alignment with Valsoft finance procedures.
Actively participate in M&A processes, including the sale and acquisition of companies, ensuring seamless financial transitions.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification is an asset).
~5-7 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 2+ years of experience managing teams and overseeing financial operations.

Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, including working with international portfolios.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams across multiple functions (accounting, FP&A, AR, AP).
Advanced knowledge of financial systems (Oracle NetSuite ERP and PowerBI are considered assets).
Strong understanding of financial compliance, internal controls, and audit processes.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to make decisions that drive long-term business success.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English (bilingual in French is a plus).

Diriger la stratégie financière et la planification d'un portefeuille croissant d'entreprises logicielles internationales, en analysant la performance et en identifiant les risques et les opportunités.
Superviser et gérer les rapports financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels, y compris l'élaboration et la gestion des prévisions financières et le suivi des indicateurs de performance (KPI).
Surveiller et analyser la santé financière du portefeuille, en assurant des flux de trésorerie positifs et en développant des stratégies pour améliorer le rendement sur investissement et la rentabilité.
Veiller à l'efficacité des contrôles internes financiers et à la conformité aux réglementations fiscales, en dirigeant les audits statutaires et en assurant le dépôt des déclarations dans les délais requis.
Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles et des partenaires d'investissement pour mettre en œuvre des stratégies d'affaires tout en maintenant une rigueur financière.
Participer activement aux processus de fusions-acquisitions, y compris la vente et l'acquisition d'entreprises, en garantissant des transitions financières sans heurts.

Un baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance, économie ou dans un domaine connexe (titre CPA ou équivalent est un atout).

• 5 à 7 ans d'expérience dans des rôles financiers, dont au moins 2 ans d'expérience en gestion d'équipes et en supervision des opérations financières.
• Expérience avérée en planification financière, prévisions et production de rapports, y compris avec des portefeuilles internationaux.
• Solides compétences en leadership avec expérience dans la gestion d'équipes diversifiées couvrant plusieurs fonctions (comptabilité, FP&A, comptes clients, comptes fournisseurs).
• Connaissance avancée des systèmes financiers (Oracle NetSuite ERP et PowerBI sont des atouts).
• Bonne compréhension de la conformité financière, des contrôles internes et des processus d'audit.
• Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite, avec une maîtrise de l'anglais (le bilinguisme en français est un atout).
