AECOM's Water group is searching for a Project Manager/Municipal Engineer with Project Management career aspirations in the Conveyance sector of the Water business line. The appropriately qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering and construction management principles as they relate to design and construction projects for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members, subcontractors and clients. They will be expected to support in the technical delivery of infrastructure to customers within the municipal water, wastewater and storm water sectors.

Technical knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.

Design experience of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater.

Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.

Prepare construction cost estimates.

Preparation of project specifications and contract documents.

contract preparation and negotiation; coordination with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders; project planning, budgeting, invoicing, change management, and scheduling.

Project management experience (including in an assistant/deputy role) is required, with the ability to demonstrate a minimum of one-year of experience in an equivalent role.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) + 6 years of related experience with conveyance engineering, design, construction oversight

Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure projects

Prior experience in project management

Experience in proposal writing and job scoping is an asset.

Design of new conveyance systems or condition assessment or rehabilitation of existing conveyance systems would be an asset

Experience in scheduling with MS Project, or Primavera P6 would be an asset.

Experience with trenchless technologies would be an asset.

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients.
