Power Engineer - Full time

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Power Engineer 4 to fill a position at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Power Engineer 4 (PW4) operates, repairs and carries out preventative maintenance on the boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility. Performs mechanical maintenance, repairs, and replacement duties related to the physical plant, buildings, and equipment approaching various journeyman trades qualifications. Manages contractors and projects as required.

The successful applicant will be required to provide after hours on call services on rotation.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, Rotating

Certificate of competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer.

• Grade 10 plus four (4) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
