which employs 4,000 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our Pictou County team as an Injury Prevention Specialist .
The Injury Prevention Specialist will lead progress in the plant related to injury prevention, and manage occupational medical center and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to injury prevention and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and health.
manage the operation of the on-site medical staff and center;
monitor injury trends and recommend actions to reduce risk;
monitoring the progress of patients and adjust or change treatments as needed;
collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and general practitioners and refer patients as needed;
staying up to date regarding new physiotherapy technologies and techniques;
initiating and participating in evidence-based projects to improve the quality of patient care;
provide input on projects related to ergonomic improvements; aligning with government physiotherapy regulations.
Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy;
- current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association;
